Rain Water Harvesting

Akash Ganga is a World Bank funded project being executed by a US-based non-profit organization, Sustainable Innovations (SI).
SI approached Truworth to develop a web-based application to collect, compile and analyze the rain water harvesting data from various villages in Rajasthan. Truworth worked with SI and BITS Pilani team to understand this unique requirement to measure the quality and quantity parameters of harvested rain water.
Truworth designed the complete data capturing, analysis and presentation mechanism over the web. Truworth also deployed satellite imagery to locate the tankas (storage tanks) at each village. A separate section was created on the web-portal to allow for creation of a digital library to host video, audio, maps and other related documents.
